• The BLM will hold a “public scoping meeting” to discuss the Middle McKenzie Project near Vida at 6 pm Thursday, Sept. 26, at the McKenzie Fire and Rescue Building at 42870 McKenzie Hwy. in Leaburg. • The Future of Civic Stadium is the topic of City Club of Eugene at noon Friday, Sept. 27, at the Hilton 12th Floor Ballroom. Speakers will include Peter Powell of Fred Meyer, Dave Perez of the Y and Jürgen Ruckaberle of the Eugene Metro Fútbol Club. See cityclubofeugene.org.

• A free Pacific Islands cultural event honoring the wisdom and traditions of the Marshall Islands will begin at noon with a potluck and continue until 7 pm Friday, Sept. 27, at the LCC Longhouse on the main campus.

Support Local Food Rights and other community rights supporters are heading to Salem for a rally Monday morning, Sept. 30, in protest to Senate Bill 633, which preempts local regulation of seeds and their products. See localfoodrights.org.
