If you’re looking for a more adventurous morning walk that gets off the beaten sidewalk and into wilder territory, head out to Willow Creek Wetlands July 8. In the Wetland Wander, Willamette Resources and Educational Network (WREN) leads participants on casual jaunts through the different wetland locations in the area on the second Tuesday of each month. Wetland wandering offers a chance to experience and explore the incredible biodiversity of a wetland up close and with the added benefit of experienced and knowledgeable guides.
All you need to bring is water, sturdy shoes on your feet and yourself; WREN will provide the binoculars.
The Wetland Wander at Willow Creek Natural Area is 9-10:30am Tuesday, July 8. Participants are asked to meet at the vehicle turnout on W. 18th Avenue between Willow Creek Rd. & Bertelsen Rd. For more info, call 338-7047. FREE. — Samuel Wendel
