OSU’s 5th annual International Film Festival runs Oct. 14-20 at the Darkside Cinema in Corvallis. Attention earthen enthusiasts! The 15th annual Clay Fest runs Oct. 11-13 at the Lane Events Center, featuring the work of over 70 local artists. Bring the kiddos along for the supervised Clay Discovery zone.

The Oregon chapter of the Modified Dolls, a nonprofit that aims to smash the stereotypes surrounding tattooed women, was wondering if you would go to prom with them? Or rather, “Zombie Prom: A Night to Dismember” 10 pm Oct. 12 at Wetlands Brew Pub and Sports Bar; $5. Here’s your chance to finally be prom queen or king, even if it means eating brains. All proceeds go to the Scares That Care charity.

Movies are back in downtown Springfield. The Springfield Museum, Springfield Public Library and Willamalane Center are putting on SpringFilm, a free film series that screens at the Wildish Theater, with complementary readings and post-film discussions.  Grizzly Man, a 2005 doc by Werner Herzog about an animal enthusiast in Alaska and the bears he loves for better (and much, much worse), shows 6 pm Oct. 16.
