24th Annual Environmental Justice Conference: Built Environments

On Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9am–7pm, the Coalition Against Environmental Racism hosts its 24th annual Environmental Justice Conference. The conference will be held in 100 Willamette Hall on the University of Oregon campus. It will feature a keynote address by activist educator and public scholar Professor Emeritus Sharon Sutton from the University of Washington’s College of Built Environments. The conference will also include presentations on food justice, gentrification, transportation justice, public health, and more. Lunch and dinner will be provided. The Coalition Against Environmental Racism is a student-run organization at the University of Oregon that works to educate people at the University and in the community about the connections between environmental, health, and social inequalities.
