Chainsaw & Arts Festival

July 20 - July 22

Free – $5

Chainsaws aren’t just for Ash from Evil Dead. They can be used to make art, too. McKenzie River Chainsaw and Arts Festival features 14 of the world’s best carving artists to make art out of logs. The artists will turn the logs into giant bears, eagles and (of course) tributes to Bigfoot. The carved sculptures will be available for purchase through an auction. The festival also features local food vendors and art exhibitors. Proceeds from the festival’s admissions will benefit the McKenzie Community Track and Field, a nonprofit that hosts high school track meets, invitationals and a place to run/walk among the McKenzie River area. The Chainsaw and Arts Festival runs 10 am to 5 pm Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21 and 10 am Sunday, July 22. The festival is located at McKenzie Community Track and Field, 51326 Blue River Dr., Blue River. $5 and FREE for children under 12. — Henry Houston
