Remember that satire issue in 2024 when we pretended to rebrand as the EUG and everyone got mad? We do. 

Well, Eugene itself is embracing the EUG and has placed a EUG sculpture by the Hult Center (so folks can take selfies) and as a “placemaking project.” It cost  $45,102 and the city  encourages residents and visitors to tag photos of the letters with the tag #EUGscene.
