One thing I never hear mentioned about constructing a new building such as the courthouse is the environmental costs. I assume construction materials will include cement, steel, glass, wood and
lots of other metals in pipes and wiring, etc.

What are the environmental impacts of heavy equipment mining, logging, production and transportation of these materials before even reaching the construction site?
