In Portland’s KGW News interview on March 8, Tobias Read stresses that climate change is very important to him as our future governor. But as current state treasurer, he continues overseeing the buying and investing in oil, gas and coal stocks, and private equity companies invested in those same stocks. He and the Oregon Investment Council also refuse to let the public know what stocks are in those private equity funds.
Does he not see the dichotomy in his views? Do we really want him as our governor? I think not.
