Eugene Weekly is currently winning the race to win hearts and minds among Eugene’s media consumers. Comrade Kaarin Knudson, Eugene’s mayor, on April 1, dubbed the alt weekly newspaper her fav “commie rag.” 

City Councilor Mike Clark reluctantly agreed, saying, “If you have to have a commie rag, then I appreciate this one is in print, because if you can ignore the commie propaganda, it makes great wrapping paper.”
