Dancing In a Candy Store

Free concerts! Expensive concerts! County fairs! The Oregon Country Fair! More combinations of brews and blues than you can count on one hand! (That’s an estimate. We didn’t actually count.) And, of course, the Olympic Trials. A lot goes on in Oregon in the summer, and we’ve rounded up a fairly lengthy list of things to entertain you over the next few months. The listings are divided roughly into Close-In (Lane County, Corvallis, Albany), Far Out (the rest of Oregon) and Farther Out (a selection of events in Washington and California).

Throughout, you’ll find a few thoughts on the lovely pairing of beer and disc golf, the worst movies summer has to offer, how to start saving the season’s bountiful fruits and vegetables, what newbies to Eugene should do with their sunny days — and more. Really, there’s quite a bit more.
