Shakespeare plays can get a little spendy: A showing of The Tempest at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland can cost more than $100. Fortunately, Free Shakespeare in the Park in Eugene gives playgoers a chance to experience Shakespeare in an outdoor setting for absolutely no cost. This year, the play of choice is Antony and Cleopatra, a romantic tragedy chock full of dramatic intrigue and corruption. Go ahead, give Shakespeare a try.
Antony & Cleopatra is 6pm Saturday & Sunday, Aug. 16-17, Amazon Community Park, 2700 Hilyard St. FREE. — Amy Schneider
