One of the best things about this part of the country is our nature. There’s no shortage of trees and, thankfully, there is also an abundance of wildflowers. The floral draw is just one aspect of the Mt. Pisgah Wildflower & Music Festival that makes it worth the price of admission. The all-day festival, taking place on Sunday, is chock-full of activities, music, food and fun. Four-hundred wildflowers will be on display for your perusal, but if you get tired of staring at petals, there’s an art exhibit, live music stage (both of which feature local artists galore), and a boat load guided tours, walks, craft workshops and children’s activities. One catch: No dogs allowed. Sorry pooch, the family will just have to tell you about how awesome it was when they get home.
The Mt. Pisgah Wildflower & Music Festival takes place 10am-5pm Sunday,
May 19. $5, kids under 12 FREE.
