Upcoming Ontario-based artist Cat Clyde is coming through Eugene following the release of her single “The Meadow.” Despite being from our northern neighbor, her music and voice have a distinctly Southern twang with some slick hipster sensibilities. Slide guitar and velvet vocals characterize her bluesy music. Her easy-going and fluttering but powerful vocals would fit in well by any campfire or on the stage in any saloon. Here in Eugene we’ll see her at Sam Bond’s Garage, where she’ll surely perform originals off her 2015 album, Ivory Castanets, including “Mama Said,” a sorrowful and haunting song about leaving your home and starting a new life.
Cat Clyde will play with SUSTO at Sam Bond’s garage at 9 pm April 6. $10.
