Lonches claims the “The Best Burritos in Town”
Nestled against a pink shopping complex, Lonches To Go’s green truck may look a touch out of place. But don’t let the color clash put you off; this is some of the most authentic Mexican food at some of the lowest prices in Eugene. Pull up a chair outside to enjoy your lunch break, or you can grab an indoor seat in the adjacent storefront on days with rough weather. (Service here is always pleasant but can be slow. Call ahead if you’re in a hurry.)
The tacos alone are worth the wait, loaded with succulent meat, fresh onion and bright cilantro. Feeling really hungry? Order one of Lonches’ massive burritos, brimming with delectable, house-made beans and your choice of mixed veggies, meat or — my personal favorite — chile relleno.
