Moms Tased and pepper sprayed

EW is getting reports of one mother Tased and another  mothers pepper sprayed by Eugene police in front of their children after the Kids Day march at Occupy the Trees tonight. Reports from the incident say the march was over and a scavenger hunt had begun when the mothers were sprayed and Tased. The incident happened across the street and not at the Occupy the Trees site, the reports say. Continue reading

Parvin Butte decision to be reconsidered

From Lane County today, the county has the decision to allow mining at Parvin Butte without a site review to be reconsidered. Lane County has filed a motion to the Lane County Hearings Official requesting reconsideration of a recent ruling and motion for dismissal regarding a site review process for quarry mining of Parvin Butte.
