‘Lessons of the Hour — Frederick Douglass’ depicts the revolutionary life of the 19th-century abolitionist and his works. Internationally renowned filmmaker Sir Isaac Julien released the multiscreen installation in 2019, and Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art Executive Director John Weber brought it to the JSMA . ‘Lessons of the Hour’ shows how the nation has made progress since Douglass’ time, but his work is not yet done.
